The pricing gap

Jobber's page gives you a number for every plan and team size, so you can model your bill in minutes: Core $49/mo (1 user), Connect $139/mo, Grow $199/mo, and 5-user plans at $199 (Connect), $299 (Grow) and $499 (Plus) per month with no commitment. Extra users are $29/mo. Jobber pricing

Workiz says its software is "fairly priced" but shows "Request pricing" on every plan. Workiz pricing You have to talk to sales or start a trial to see a number. This is common for tools aimed at HVAC and plumbing shops, but it makes comparison harder. If you decide to go forward with Workiz, ask for the quote in writing, and ask which add-ons (the Genius phone, answering and marketing products) are in it.

Features: where each product stands out

Workiz. Its plan ladder is built around automations (5, 10 and 30 per plan), lead and scheduling tools branded Genius, and field-service-specific items such as service plans, flat-rate pricing, equipment tracking and purchase orders on Ultimate. The top plan also lists franchise management and an open API. Standard already includes subcontractor management and QuickBooks integration, which matters for locksmith and garage door companies that use contractors.

Jobber. The ladder is built around quoting and client communication: automated quote follow-ups and reminders (Connect), quotes with photos and optional line items plus job costing and two-way texting (Grow), and crews, pipeline, marketing and an AI Receptionist (Plus). Its marketplace lists 100+ integrations and it syncs with QuickBooks Online and Xero.

If your pain is missed calls and lead handling, Workiz's phone and answering products are designed for that, though they are add-ons. If your pain is quote conversion and follow-up, Jobber's Connect and Grow plans are directly about that. For a deeper view of Jobber's plans, see our Jobber page; Workiz is on its own page.

Which trades fit which tool

Workiz's own site focuses on trades such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, garage door, locksmith and appliance repair. Jobber's industry list is wider and includes cleaning, lawn care, landscaping, pool service, pressure washing, window cleaning, handyman, painting, tree care and junk removal on top of the home-service trades. A cleaning company or a lawn crew will find more templates and more peers on Jobber.

For emergency-dispatch shops, a quick test is to ask each vendor to show you how a call turns into a job, how a technician gets paid, and how a membership or service plan renews. Workiz lists service plans only on Ultimate, so make sure you get a quote for the plan that includes what you need. See also best HVAC software and best plumbing software.

Trials and how to compare fairly

Jobber's 14-day trial gives full access to Grow features with no credit card. Workiz's 7-day trial lets you explore all features, also with no card. A week is short, so schedule your test: import 20 customers, build one quote template, run three jobs through the app, and send a test invoice. Check how many of the features you rely on are on the plan you would actually buy, not the trial plan.

If neither feels right, our Jobber alternatives list includes options with published prices for several trades.
