Quick verdict

Solo or two people, quoting-heavy exterior work: QuoteIQ is the cheaper starting point. Essentials is $29.99/mo for 1 user and Beginner ($99.99/mo, 2 users) adds satellite measuring (MapMeasure Pro). Want the more established tool, a bigger app marketplace and Xero or QuickBooks Online sync: Jobber. Core is $49/mo for 1 user ($29/mo billed annually).

The price gap narrows once you compare plans with similar features (QuoteIQ Pro vs Jobber Connect or Grow), and it widens again around 10 users. We earn a commission from QuoteIQ, so read the "where Jobber wins" section before you decide. For a plain pricing table, see our shorter Jobber vs QuoteIQ pricing page.

How the pricing actually works

Both companies publish prices, but they package them differently, which is why a quick "$29.99 vs $49" comparison misleads.

QuoteIQ sells five plans by user allowance: Essentials (1 user, $29.99/mo), Beginner (2 users, $99.99/mo), Pro (4 users, $199.99/mo), Elite (10 users, $299.99/mo) and Max (20 users, $699.99/mo). Extra users are $25/mo on any plan. Annual billing is "pay for 10 months, get 12", so Essentials is $299.99/yr and Elite is $2,999.99/yr. QuoteIQ pricing

Jobber sells four plans, then scales them by team size. A 1-user Core plan is $49/mo with no commitment. When you set Jobber's pricing page to a team of 2 to 5 people, the priced plans it shows are Connect ($199/mo with 5 users included), Grow ($299/mo) and Plus ($499/mo); it does not show a priced Core option for that team size. At 6 to 10 users Connect is $299/mo, Grow $399/mo and Plus $599/mo. The page also says users can be added for $29/mo each, so ask Jobber whether a second user can be added to Core before you assume you must jump to Connect. Jobber pricing

That means a two-person lawn crew is looking at QuoteIQ Beginner at $99.99/mo versus the $199/mo Jobber Connect plan (5 users included, no commitment) that its pricing page shows for a 2 to 5 person team. With a 1-year commitment or annual billing Jobber drops, but the gap is still real, unless Jobber lets you add a $29/mo user to Core. At one user the picture flips toward a close race: $29.99 vs $29 to $49 depending on how you pay Jobber.

Both vendors also show promotional first-term discounts on their pricing pages. We use list prices here because promos change weekly (Jobber's annual offer on its page said it ends October 30).

What each plan unlocks (the parts that matter for exterior and cleaning work)

Price only matters if the plan has the features you will use. Here is the short version of what each vendor says it includes.

QuoteIQ

Jobber

Two things stand out. First, QuoteIQ puts measuring tools at its second tier, and Jobber does not list a measuring tool on its pricing page. Second, Jobber's quote follow-up automation starts at Connect ($139/mo), while QuoteIQ's equivalent text and email automation starts at Pro ($199.99/mo, 4 users). On a 1-user plan Jobber is cheaper for follow-ups; for a 4-user team QuoteIQ Pro is cheaper than Jobber's 5-user Connect or Grow plans.

Where QuoteIQ is the better fit

Where Jobber is the better fit

The reviews you will find online are polarized. Some contractors praise QuoteIQ's price and some complain about Jobber's add-ons and per-user growth, while others say QuoteIQ is too new. We have not tested either product ourselves, so treat user quotes as anecdotes and use the free trials.

A decision guide by business type

Solo pressure washer or lawn operator: start with QuoteIQ Essentials if you measure on site or mostly price by the job, or Beginner ($99.99/mo, 2 users) if satellite measuring will save you drives. Choose Jobber Core if you prefer its client-facing quote and are fine paying $29 to $49/mo for the basics.

Small cleaning company with 2 to 4 cleaners on the schedule: compare QuoteIQ Pro ($199.99/mo, 4 users, recurring billing and automations) against Jobber Connect for 5 users ($199/mo, reminders and automatic payments). The price is nearly identical, so the decision comes down to whose quote, invoice and client messages you like better. Run both trials with the same five customers. See also our best cleaning business software guide.

Growing lawn care crew with 5 to 10 people: QuoteIQ Elite ($299.99/mo for 10 users) is much cheaper than Jobber Grow for 10 users ($399/mo) or Plus ($599/mo), but you should confirm routing, scheduling and the mobile app work for your crews. If route density is your main pain, also look at GorillaDesk (priced per route, unlimited users) in our lawn care software guide.

Mixed-trade company or a plan to add HVAC or plumbing work: look at Jobber alternatives and Housecall Pro too. See QuoteIQ vs Housecall Pro if you want a flat-rate pricebook and service plans.

How to test both in one afternoon

  1. Pick five real customers and one recurring job. Build the same quote in both apps and time it.
  2. Send each quote to your own phone. Check how it looks, how the approve and pay buttons work, and how many taps the customer needs.
  3. Schedule the job for two crew members and see what the crew sees on their phone.
  4. Connect your payment processor and a $1 test invoice. Processing rates are separate from the subscription and each vendor sets them differently, so look at the rate you are offered in the app.
  5. Check cancellation and data export. QuoteIQ says there are no contracts or cancellation fees and your data stays available for export. Jobber's annual plans are billed up front and renew automatically unless you turn off renewal.

Frequently asked questions

Is QuoteIQ cheaper than Jobber?
At one user, QuoteIQ Essentials is $29.99/mo and Jobber Core is $49/mo with no commitment, $39/mo with a 1-year commitment or $29/mo billed annually, so the difference is small. For teams, QuoteIQ is usually cheaper on list price: Pro is $199.99/mo for 4 users and Elite is $299.99/mo for 10 users, while Jobber's 5-user Connect is $199/mo and its 10-user Connect is $299/mo. Compare plans with similar features, not just entry prices.
Does QuoteIQ have a free plan?
No. QuoteIQ offers a 14-day free trial on its plans and Essentials starts at $29.99/mo. Jobber also has no free plan, but offers a 14-day trial of its Grow features with no credit card required.
Which is better for pressure washing, QuoteIQ or Jobber?
QuoteIQ is the better starting point if you quote many properties because MapMeasure Pro (from the $99.99/mo Beginner plan) measures from satellite images. Jobber is stronger if you want its client-facing quote flow, an established marketplace of integrations and support for several trades. See our pressure washing software guide for more.
Does QuoteIQ work with QuickBooks?
QuoteIQ lists QuickBooks Online integration from the Pro plan ($199.99/mo, 4 users). Jobber lists QuickBooks Online sync from Connect ($139/mo for 1 user) and also Xero sync on its features page.
Can I switch from Jobber to QuoteIQ?
QuoteIQ lets you import contacts by CSV and its AI Smart Import feature is included on all plans. Whether past jobs and invoices carry over depends on your export from Jobber, so test with a sample before you cancel anything, and download your data first.
Is QuoteIQ legitimate and are the reviews real?
QuoteIQ is a real, active product with published pricing and app store listings. It is newer than Jobber, and many of the glowing comparisons online are written by people with an interest in selling it, including us (we earn a commission). Use the 14-day trial to judge it yourself.
